    Hello,

I've decided to do the GAMSAT test to apply for Grad Medicine in UCD. Does anyone have any tips on what to read, learn, study, study aids etc?

    Cheers

There used to be a mega thread on this with people talking about which books to buy for organic chem, physics and all the relavant stuff.

Mods,Would it be an idea to sticky a thread so people can talk about the GAMSAT and other GEM stuff.I know there is already alot of stickies but just an idea...

A great Physics text is Physics Giancoli
Its a thick text but it's choc full of examples and problems. Use it to practice physics problems.

    Rapid revision for Physics

    Organic chemistry for dummies

    workbook Organic chemistry for dummies
this compliments the other text and I think it is essential because it teaches through problem solving

I don't know what to recommend for biology

    Good idea.
I'll sticky it for a week or 2 to see what happens.
Use it or lose it, folks :P

Also, don't forget to review www.gamsat-ie.org and apply through CAO etc

Check for open days in UCD and try talk to current med students for their input and advice. I'm sitting GAMSAT in DUblin 2010 aiming for RCSI. So far anyone i've spoken to have been incredibly helpful. There is also a small focus group gathering off here to highlight areas and study sessions.

Kind of grouping all our notes, thoughts and exam questions to maximise our individual output. there's no hard 'n' fast rules on how the group will or should or could work but every little helps.

I've a good few organic chemistry books, aswell as a recommended physics and biology book.
