Trinity Hall JCR

My understanding is that the Trinity Hall Junior Common Room is in receipt of a single source of income, namely the payments from undergraduate residents (legally speaking, guests of the College) to the value of €40 per person this year. As there are certainly between 500 and 1000 undergraduates in Trinity Hall, the JCR is in receipt of an income between €20,000 and €40,000 per annum. On what do they spend this money? I imagine much of it is spent on Freshers' Week events, of which there were several in my time there (e.g. sports day, nights out). How much is spent on alcohol or obtaining access to alcohol?

They blew the whole thing on alcohol in 07/08.

In 08/09 all we got were stupid beanbags and Rock Band.

No, its part of the fees paid by all residents as above. Any student with a trinity card can go there when they like.

Never realised their budget was that large, is that spread across the two locations or just the halls one?

Just the one. but theres a lot of expenses. Freshers weekend alone costs in or around 10 grand.. the Pizza given out for free costs 300 quid or so every time...40000 isn't that much (especially when it's only about 35...)
