Facebook has jumped from 200-300 million users in the last few months.

The momentum it has is unstopable if you ask me. I can see it being around for a long long time.

I only signed up myself about 3 months ago but it has now become a regular part of my weblife.

Its a great site, easy to use and loadza cool features.

I think you are wasting your time on this ...

Another great feature is that they've started selling your information to third parties, including photo's. Had a friend contact me recently to inform me that a web based travel comapny had used photo's of my trip to Nepal in their brochure, which I had put on facebook.

That's what everyone would have said about MySpace not too long ago too, until someone came up with something better...

This is fascinating/scary, what brochure, company etc? Do you have any supporting info for this?

This is true, but I never heard from stories from mates etc about the Mothers and Aunties signing up for and loving myspace.

Facebook seems to have so many people over thirty signed / signing up. Myspace, bebo etc never had that. Also alot of younger and younger kids seem to be switching away from bebo into facebook.

Thats one big reason I think why they will succeed in the long term. Their biz plan is supposedly ahead of itself already in that they recently announced the site has recently started to generate more cash than its spending ahead of schedule.
