I simply asked for some advice on working for Dubdoc. I was hoping for some unbiased personal advice. Something more than," don't ask us ask dubdoc themselves"

perhaps something like, this shift is busy or this is a good shift to do or ask to do things this way or even any type of advice for the many people on this site who have used Dubdoc.

One person replies, Basically says go away and get biased advice from Dubdoc themselves. I had obviously thought of doing that but thought going armed with some first hand advice may be useful.

    Sorry!

if we lock a thread, then contact us to ask about it. Theres no point in throwing your toys out of the pram. I'll leave this here now, against my better judgement. But if no-one answers, then just leave it alone. Constant bumping of the thread will just get it locked, and you'll lose posting rights.

    Hi again OMD.
Sorry you were put out my my advice.
To work in DubDoc you need to be vocationally qualified or have at least 3 years GP experience. You must be on the specialist or general register and not on a hospital training scheme or on the trainee register.
The shifts are 18:00-22:00 mon to fri anf 10;00-18:00 sat and sun and BH's. these shifts are usually split.
Weekends are busier and the mix is 50:50 ish GMS/Private.
The rate of pay varies depending on whether you are a local GP or a locum and also on whether it is a busy or quiet shift. It is also different if you are gettting the shift via an agency.
These rates are set by the medical director as directed by members.
Ultimately only DubDoc can tell you whether you can do shifts there and how much you will expect to be paid for them.
You will also neeed full medisec/MPS or MDU cover as the state scheme will not apply.
