Insulating Under the Lintels?

Not sure if this is going to the extreme, but I was wondering is it advised to insulated under the lintel?

Right now we have insulated all arround the window using the foil based insulation, and we have stuffed the opening (between the lintel and block) with rockwool. This goes right up against the damn proof course. So I was wondering do we need to insulate the underside of the lintel?

We have already pumped our 135mm with Bonded Bead Insulation. I am not sure what needs to be done under the lintel.

    Cheers

Why would you need to insulate the underside of the lintel?
The heat transfer is from the inside out, not up and down.

Surely if your insulation spec is requiring an insulated slab on the internal wall then the underside of the lintel requires the same attention as the blockwall around it.
