    Hi there,
I recently got a 3G iphone which i've jailbreaked and unlocked and am now using with meteor sim (firmware 3.0). Was working fine for first few days(or i think it did) but over the last couple of days my text messages have taken maybe 20mins to come through after someone texting me and also even if I have full signal voice calls are being directed straight to my voicemail.
Now i did a bit of googleing earlier and found out i'm not the only one this has happened too....its all over the web with people having the same problem as me!
Ive tried numerous suggested fixes for it but none have worked yet,
these are restarting iphone, turning off 3G, turning off 'fetch', and a couple of other things.
Its really annoying me as i'm missing alot of calls. It just seems to be the odd time that a call will come through for me.

Has this happened to anyone here and do they have any suggestions or know how I can fix it?
    Thanks alot.

For a while I couldn't receive any calls or texts. Then I noticed I had set push notifications to be on for some of my apps (like Mafia Wars). Disabling this solved my problem. Maybe it could be the cause of your problem too?

Thanks but I already tried that and my 'push' is off

    I have that problem.

The only way to get around it is to switch the phone off and on.

So now I switch the phone on and off every couple of days.

A bit annoying. I done a full reset and rebuild of the phone and it was still the same.

Think it might be a problem with one of the apps.

Yeah i've switched it on and off but that doesn't fix it fully. It might work once or twice but then it goes back to going to voicemail again. I suppose it could be one of the apps alright....no way of knowing which one tho. ughhh

I'd say perhaps mention it to the techies on O2's forum :

    iPhone forum : http://forums.o2online.ie/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=14

They might be able to address the issue directly.

Which network are you on, I have an unlocked (Italian) phone on 3.

THe problem might be related to switching between the 2G and 3G network.

    I'm on meteor.

What do u mean switching between 2G and 3G?

On Three as you move around it switched between 2G and 3G networks.

The 3G has data and when you are in a 2G network you have calls and no data.

Seems to happen after I have gone somewhere i.e. changed between 2G and 3G a few times.
