    i was watching Convoy the other day and the cops were using some equipment to find out what frequency rubber duck and them were on to contact them from the helicopter. is there actually such devices you can buy to see what frequencies people are on. would be handy to know some things that dont tell you like walkie talkies etc

    You could also buy a Uniden Scanner with close call, it works on the same basis as a frequency counter. Most transmissions within 50 metres, the scanner will automatically tune into it and you will hear the audio.
    Have a look for a Uniden UBC3500XLT, I had one kinda sorry I got rid of it.
