Make a small pension contribution, which I think comes off before tax and PRSI and lowers your gross income, but you don't lose the money.

    yes put it into pension

but who knows if that money would still be there if and when you retired

i wouldn't be surprised at all to see certain irish banks go under, and end in tears as people realize the government has no way in hell of honoring its guarantees

I can only give you advice based on the information you give and you haven't given a whole lot.

Best person to ask is your boss to see if they have registered.

    Which you prefer?

I propose we make you unemployed, getting some other worker in your department to take over your duties, becuase that other worker is most likely grossly underworked and overpaid, with a very nice guaranteed pension.

These measures would reduce the burden on the taxpayer by 300 euro a week, progress.

even better setup a company offshore and have it "invoice" your irish company (can be setup for 300euro) for "services"

but its all a "gray" area and theres a fine line between tax avoidance and tax evasion

tho with the taxmoney being wasted on fat salaries, bankers and developers i've no sympathy for revenue anymore, especially with closing childrens hospitals and stopping works on infrastructure
