The vehicles are back in the showroom, the S Conlon Temporary signs are up. The doors are yet to open but:

45 Jobs were lost when Pat Keogh BMW closed his doors so this is finally good news for hopefully another 45 people in Limerick and the motor trade in General.

Best of luck to any new business these days, hope it works out for them. I'm sure the new owners would be keen to get some of the old staff back.

I hear there's going to be a very small number of staff all the admin done in Kildare. Mr Lyons is running the show.

    Staffing will be minimal.

I thought the sign said "N Conlon and Sons." Presumably like a few other family businesses that have opened in Limerick it will be one of the "and Sons" that ends up running the show in Limerick

The whole garage is already in the hands on said "& Sons", Dont let that put you off, Still a top class set up, and ive never had any bad exp. with them.

In my experience, the "and Sons" addition only leads to improved service. Keoghs was also in the hands of the family. I say the "and Sons" will probably end up in charge as it becomes difficult to feed multiplying numbers of mouths from the same source.

Just to let you guys know.
I work at N. Conlan & Sons Limerick. So far we have 12 staff, half of which are old Pat Keogh staff. We expect our staffing numbers to grow over time. Yes, most of our administration is done from our main HQ in Kildare so that keeps administrative staff to a minimum. This is a necessity in these challenging times.

We offer all the same services that Pat Keogh used to offer plus the use of our Fully BMW/MINI Approved Bodyshop based in our Kildare premises.

Further information available at our website www.conlansbmw.ie

If anyone has any further questions or queries, please dont hesitate to ask.

    Regards
    Jerry P. Crowley
    Marketing Manager
    N. Conlan & Sons Ltd.

Well Mr. Crowley, Apart from "pimp my garage" which you seem to be doing, a bit like Reillys in Sligo at it only last week. Lets hope that the "Technicians" in Limerick have some idea at what they are at.
Hopefully some of Keoghs service lads will get their jobs back.

Very harsh, it was a thread about their garage. Now seeing as it's an old thread I'm going to lock it
