Pilot for tandem wanted in the Midlands

    Hi All,

    I'm visually impaired and am looking (excuse the pun) for a pilot(s) to assist me a couple of times a week on my tandem bike. I am a member of the Irish Paracycling team and really would appreciate if anyone could spare a few hours from time to time to help me with my training. I live in Portarlington, Co. Laois and average 40km on each cycle.

    If anyone is interested in helping me out please PM me.

    I'm not able to help out but I'm intrigued by the idea of it - you'll have to ignore my ignorance in all this, but I would assume you'd have to be very trusting of someone who would be doing the steering (though with tandem I assume you'd co-ordinate leaning etc.)?

    Not sure what to ask but the thought of it is just intriguing. Sorry, I'll stop derailing your thread now :)
