Hey lads.I was thinking of either buying a nissan pulsar vzr or changing my civic engine from a 1.4 to a 1.6 sir engine.Need opinions but also don't have loads of mechanical knowledge but do have friends who would help.Could someone give me instruction or info on how to change it?

probably cheaper to just buy an eg sir civic or a pulsar vzr.

the pulsar vzr n1 was 200bhp from factory which is the quickest 1.6 made.

for handling the sir would be nicer than a pulsar vzr and looks wise im starting to fall in love with both but i originally thought both were ugly.

Just buy the VZR. Everyone has civics. No matter where you go you're just another civic. A conversion is too much hassle for what it's worth.

I've driven a lot of different civics ( SiR's, type r's, VTi's, all the riff raff ) and i've driven a few different VZR's ( blue top's, N1) and the pulsar is a much nicer car to drive. More refined. Advantage of a civic is that parts are more available and you sure as hell won't blow one up.

Thats only the red top n1's that made 200bhp and they are a rare car.

blue tops are around 170bhp and can be got for 3500 now. A few for sale on www.midnightclub.ie

    if your comparing cars

    Vzr n1 = Civic Type R
Vzr (bluetop engine) = SiR Civic.

Top be honest OP id just buy a VZR, to properly do what your asking youd be looking at paying 3k anyway at least, with running gear, brake upgrades, ecu etc etc.
