    Hi All,

    Apologies if this sounds like a stupid or vague question but as above, any ideas of the solicitor fees for reading a will?

    "Reading a will" by a solicitor only happens on TV.

    OP, would it not be easier to go down to the probate office and get a copy? I think it's only 6 euros.
    Or is it in your case that the solicitor has the only copy of the will?

    if you are a beneficary of the estate , you can with the executor consent get a copy of the will .

    usually the executor of the will , will go into the solicitors office and a copy of the will , will be given to them . All costs come out of the estate as legal fees. most solictors will not chrage you for the reading of the will straight away as if the estate goes to probate , the costs will come out of the estate when probate is granted .
