What are the planning issues here?

    House built mid 70s.
change of use granted in 90s for a health spa.
Now the property is for sale as a dwelling. Will change of use to required again back to dwelling?

No, it is exempt to change back to a dwelling.

Have you a link to anything that would confirm this? I had a word with a planner and he said there is nothing in the exemptions to cover this.

The reinstatement of a premises or property to its condition prior to development does not require planning permission, imo.

To stand as example I cite the following:

If a planning permission or its conditions are not being adhered to, the Enforcement Section can/may ask the applicant to reinstate the property to its original condition prior to the commencement of development works.
Therefore, if this is the case when something goes wrong, it can be taken as being a corrective action in any circumstances.
