Little bastards. Best of luck in recovering it. If they were in your house, be thankful that stealing the car was all they did.

Be very careful about what you post online! You do want your claim to be succesful and not regarded as a ploy to dump the car and make a claim!

Any particular marks/scratches on it that might make it recognisable?

Ring the Dublin Airport Authority car parks and ask them if your car is parked there also Quickpark. They have numberplate recognition technology on their car parks and will know if they are "minding" it. Also ring the M50 toll outfit and see if it has been through any of the tolls.

High end stolen are often left in public areas, apartment complexes etc until they are required. If and when you get it back get a tracking device fitted.

How about the reg plate? :p

Little fcukers. I live in Finglas, and family in Glasnevin. I'll keep an eye out if I see it.

My sis had her CL500 nicked last year - same thing, they broke into the house and got the keys. It was found burned out in Ballymun. Unfortunately, I wouldn't hold much hope for finding it in a repairable condition.

Most probably parked somewhere, with plate's from a legitimate car fitted, just left there till it's "needed".

    apologies to all interested

car was recovered a week later parked up in a car park

licence plate recognition equipped garda car picked it up

no external damage expensive watch, cds, kids car seats and keys taken

had checked with toll operators for a few days afterwards but nothing, 4 days later they went through M50 toll so guards trawling through M50 cameras .im still having fun dealing with M50 operators bill is now at 41 euros according to last demand from them.

had an interesting experience driving back from belfast last week, PSNI doing speed check after sprucefield roundabout, so i found myself being followed by them the whole way to Newry. (number plate recognition)couldnt remember what northern speed limit was translated in kilometers so conservative speed adopted via cruise control.(apologies to any other road users at the time) was greeted by a whole possie of PSNI / military looking guys guns galore and a couple of helicopters hoovering above. asked to step out of car and hand over keys ... yeah car still registered as stolen.

talking to the cops while they were checking/verifying my story they couldnt understand why i wasnt making a run for it and they werent prepared to initiate a chase with a 5 series so they were quite happy to tail me whilst rounding up cars and backup from everywhere and also our guards had been notified and they were also busy on the southern side and permission had been granted for them to cross border if neeed be.

the parting comment from PSNI was at leasat you know the system works just a couple of weeks too late, they assured me the car is no longer registered as stolen

had a an especially welcome cup of coffee in mcdonalds newry after that

Dont mean to be insensitive or anything but I thought that most modern cars had to 'stolen' by taking the keys from the house due to 'Immobiliser' chip in key etc ....I presume that if the 'pro' thief wants a luxury car badly enough theres electronics to get round this ...but is this sort of thing going on routinely in Ireland for mid range cars or even humble motors?Do 'joyriders' have electronics nowadays? For all the talk of dear aul Ireland in the 80s ...simpler innocent times etc I remember getting your car broken into and /or stolen was about as common as getting a head cold or catching the flu...
My sympathies to the OP ...
