Has anybody any experience of the collaborative law process to reach agreement on the terms of a Separation Agreement.

What I really want to know is 1. Are you face to face with your ex and 2. Can it get adversarial

I'm quite suspicious of "collaborative law".

If both parties can use a modicum of cop on, and agree the relationship is over and the best way to proceed getting a separation can be remarkably cheap and easy.

(but I'm afraid I can't answer your questions!... but trust me, in family law things get adversarial for the most obtuse reasons, and often the source of it is a stupid solicitor who feels the need to carry a flag that doesn't need carrying)
