What a great show. The man is a legend....

I hadn't really heard much about the book that he had published. The chapters that he was reading during the gig were brilliant... The book sounds a bit crazed, but I think I'll have to buy it :D

I liked the way that he opened the gig to the crowd and allowed people to ask questions and get involved... but unfortunately there were quite a few idiots there. By the end of the show the lunatics were running the asylum.

Some australian women got offended somehow by the image of a semi-clothed woman on the projector display. You could see Nick wasn't too impressed by being called misogynistic.. seeing that he basically told her to f**k off :p

There were two beside me that wouldn't shut the hell up for the whole gig. Talking on their phone, being generally a pain in the ass to everyone around them. They were the couple where she stood up and asked if she could get her t-shirt signed. So off they went down to the front of the stage and fair play to Nick he signed it.... queue 2 minutes later, yer man back on the phone.. "dude, Nick Cave got me up on stage".... eh no he didn't you numpty

Great show overall... seen his grinderman act a few years ago an Electric Picnic and he was class. Must get to see a bad seeds show next time they tour.

    What songs did he play?

Not in order, or complete, from memory:

    West Country Girl
    Hold On To Yourself
    Babe, You Turn Me On
    Grinderman
    The Weeping Song
    The Mercy Seat
    Do You Love Me?
    Lucy
    Lime Tree Arbour
    God Is In The House
    Love Letter
    Dig, Lazarus, Dig

    Encore:
    Red Right Hand
    Into My Arms

I may have forgotten one or two, that's most of them.

I thought the free hand cream was a nice touch :D

idiots at gigs in Dublin is nothing new but why would you talk over Nick Cave to tell someone you got on stage with Nick Cave? even if it had actually happened could it not have waited?

Two more that I can think of are The Ship Song and Tupelo.

Thought it was a brilliant gig - nice to see him in such an intimate venue. Totally different to what I was expecting (which was more reading and soundtracky stuff) - what a nice surprise to hear all those songs.

Warren Ellis is such a legend too - I loved seeing him crashing the maracas off the cymbals during Grinderman

Completely agree, there were some tools out last night. You annoy Nick Cave at your peril though :D It was an amazing gig. It's about 5 years since I last saw him (same venue) and I'd forgotten just how good he is. Loved it.

Someone behind me shouted "have you ever done kylie!?-i literally don't know if that was a song request or....another sort of question.

Thankfully he didn't catch it :p

So sad I missed it, Can't believe he did that many songs. I was thinking he might do 6 maybe 7. Was it just him or was Warren with him?

I am absolutly ragin looking at them videos, I thought it would be completly different. Next time anything simmilar to this comes up it's not to be missed!

I was a bit disappointed with the gig.

I think the mistake was Cave trying to interact with the audience. Most punters just ended up yelling out requests repeatedly, begging for autographs or just heckling. Cave wasn't great with dealing with the crowd, he was easily distracted and just looked bored/irritated by the whole thing.

I would have prefered a 90 minute gig with just music and excerpts from the book and less conversing with idiots.

Brilliant gig - off out to get the book now.

Some savage videos there, fair play for posting them.

As for the heckling - sure it was annoying but it didnt take away from the performance. You get muppets everywhere

Get it on audiobook. Cave reads it and does the incidental music.

    Thanks for that, will do
