    Hi,

    I used to swim a lot and I m trying to get back into at the moment. I m starting with;

    200 metres warm up
    5 x 50 metres normal swim
    10 x 50 kick with fins
    5 x 50 pull with paddles
    5 x100 fins and paddles - sprinting the first 50 of each

    small warm down

    anyone any other ideas of a programme??? starting to get back into it but need to lose about 2 stone!!!!

    thanks in advance:)

    I would suggest some of the triathlon sites and their programs. Sorry not a swim coach. :-)

    Swimming isn't ideal for weight loss, combine it with gym work and you should see an improvement in fitness and weight loss. Swimming would improve quicker that way imo

    thanks for the replies. I do a bodypump class and a boxing class in the week aswell so not only doing the swimming. I actually found a really good website to get programmes from - its a usmastersswimming boards site and lots of coaches post their sessions up so i m taking a few of them down!!!!

    thanks:)
