I have been watching most of this tournament and was quite disappointed by the Swedish. But the Germans are just lethal. Wait for the last 10 - 15 mins, they could really let lose on the English then!

Who scored, bet it was either Grings or Prinz?

True but she was running backwards which can make it a lot tougher to get up and still stop the shot. Could of done better I agree.

Prinz scored the first and Beringer (sp?) scored the second.

Behringer is a midfielder isn't she?!

Prinz is a great player, natural eye for goal!

I did like the guy commentating saying Germany were genuinely worried about losing their title. I was not sure if it was at 1-0 up, 2-1 up or 3-2 up that Germany was the more concerned about losing their title.

Goalkeepers in womens football are so substandard. Germany were excellent on the break. I don't think it was ever really in doubt.

What is the average height of a professional womens goalkeeper?

I'd say it's a good few inches less than in the mens game, but the goals are the same size.

Yeah, that is a good point, but at least 2 of the German goals would have been stopped by a decent older youth team keeper in the mens game (who would be a similar size to Englands keeper).

You wouldn't have wanted to see the standard a few years back then...it's an area in women's football which has been improved believe it or not. I don't want to be sexist against my own sex, but I think a few inches off the height of the goals would do the game no harm, there are far too many goals that are "spectacular", when in reality, it's the goalkeepers being too short for the goals. The second German goal is a prime example.

Did anyone listen to the commentary afterwards...you'd swear Germany were the only team going to be facing England in the World Cup. Marta from Brazil would single handedly destroy the English defence!
