have to go for ultrasound next week to check for gallstones:mad: anyone had gallbladder removed due to same? how long were you waiting for app in hospital to have gallbladder removed? was it key hole or other? any advice welcome. also did any of you use herbal remedies successfully for same problem?

Herbal remedies will not work for this.

I will leave this thread open for other people to post their experiences of this. Most surgery is keyhole surgery - but if there is an unplanned problem, the surgeon may convert it to an open procedure.
