If you've seen Nick and Norahs Infinite Playlist you've seen this movie, it's basically the same thing.

Nick Norah's Infinite Playlist was woefully mediocre in my opinion, but I loved Adventureland. It's not the laugh-a-minute romp the trailers implied (though there's a fair bit of humour), but if you're looking for an enjoyable and very well written and acted coming of age film then this is it.

Yeah , I think the trailer and the promo material trying to compare it to superbad gives the totally wrong impression of what kind of movie it will be.Its decent enough but wouldn't watch it again in a rush.

I saw this last month, it's a slow burner, not worth going out of your way to see but not a complete loss either. Meh, is probably the best way to describe it.

Enjoyed it, forgettable but a solid "dialogue" flick

fantastic coming of age movie. If you like rocket science or thumbsucker, you should like this, its with added 80's nostalgia

Dont mean to single you out here BopNiblets but the difference between Nick and Norahs infinite playlist and Adventureland is the difference between Donkeys and Racehorses(Adventureland being the Racehorse).
Nick and norah was one of the worst films Ive ever seen.Hollywood at its contrived worst. It was just souless and forced.

Adventureland is a lovely film thats genuine and has a lot of warmth and heart.

Right, but they're similar though, shy nerdy guys chasing the girl all the way through the movie until the very end... with music interests and whackiness!

Both fine movies but nothing extraordinary I think.

    saw it last week
was quite funny in parts and keeps your interest through the whole film
kind of like superbad but more of a romantic comedy.
