Vocalist wanted for soul/funk/disco band

    Hey

    Over the last two months I've put together a pretty good funk/soul/disco covers band called funktion. If you were at the lughnasa festival in the Bernard Shaw you may have heard us around 10 on the Saturday night. Anyways, unfortunately our very talented vocalist Jean-Anne is leaving the country to live in France with her fellah, SO we're looking for some soulful singer, who is mad into her funky stuff, with a voice like a disco diva, but without any of the obnoxious diva personality.
    If you think you fit the bill send me a PM detailing your singing experience, your influences, and anything else about yourself that you think might convince us that you're the singer we're looking for. I'm hoping to have an audition with several singers so we can pick out the best of the bunch. After every gig we've done we get several offers for more gigs, so we should have a busy enough schedule if things continue as they have been going. We meet up two or three times a week between practice and gigs, so you have to be ready to put in the time. Don't be shy, if you've always dreamed of singing your heart out on stage to some funky retro grooves then this could be your chance!

    Hey I like the sound of what you are doing. Im a big soul fan and have been looking for a soul band for a while. I have plenty of experience singing in bands, but have'nt found the right fit yet.I would be interested in hearing some of your stuff and have samples of my stuff. I am very hard working, very creative, love fashion, I have a strong presence on stage and a love a chance to dress up for gigs.
    I have also plenty of spare time as i was working as a Art tutor but lost my job, I am now working on my painting and looking for the right band.
