Have recently got some of our cars serviced by main dealer close to us and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they have vastly reduced their rates. Never had an issue with quality of service and customer service in general, but always thought prices were high.
Had considered moving to an independent dealer but was loath to do so-better the devil you know and all that !
So called the dealership and asked for prices and was amazed that they would do a service on our Seat Leons for €130 icluding mini valets(was 220-300 before).
Jumped in and had them serviced and asked service manager, why the drop in pricing and he explained that due to major cost-cutting within the company they had reduced their overheads and passed these savings onto their customers.
He said that they are busier now than they have been in years, is now totally focussing on giving great value for money to all their customers.
We are going to get the Golfs in the fleet done with them now.
At last a good news story and not a mention of the "r" word.
