Does anyone know if you book a bike on a flight with ryan air , can you leave the panniers on the bike or do you have to check them in separately?

it's probably more up to the airport than the airline. I've flown from Dublin & brought a huge duffel bag to put the panniers in, & just checked the bike in on its own. I would guess that a bike with panniers mite be regarded as too heavy.

I checked mine in but I'm not sure if it was required or if I just did it. I'd imagine it would be a requirement. Packing bikes with panniers on them would be messy enough, I'd say.
