    Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to get back into Astronomy, with an eye to doing some astrophotography.

Anyway, about 13 years ago I bought myself a TAL-1 telescope, and it hasn't been used in a while, but its still in good shape. It is built like a tank, and weighs a ton, including its mounts. Here is a picture of a motorized version shown with a lovely assistant.

Now, I want to motorize my one, does anyone know what my options are? Will I have to buy servos and make my own gear assemblies, or is there ready made kits I could fit to it? I really want to keep the mount, as it is so solid I can't imagine any tripod ever been more steady.

    Thanks in advance,

    Paul.
