Too many main eventers on Raw. It would have been impossible to shoe-horn him into the current fueds, and with Jeff gone, Smackdown needed another face. I hope he leaves Punk and Taker alone for the time being though. I'd prefer him and Rey (when Rey gets back) to go after the tag titles, but I doubt its going to happen due to Reys suspension. They can hardly put the gold on him for a few months

Yeah SD needed some star power asap, don't forget they have lost Edge, Jeff and who knows what will happen Rey? Thats the equivalent of Raw losing Orton, Cena and Hunter, huge loss for the show. In an ideal world Cena would have been drafted, but he won't leave Raw soon and HBK/Hunter are feuding with Legacy.
Christian would have been nice but he is needed on ECW.

Exactly. I know people were hoping that after CM Punk and Taker, Morrison and Matt Hardy would go into the main event scene, but with Morrison replacing Rey in fued over the IC title with Ziggler, and Matt still not 100%, it might take a few months.

The only problem I see is main event heels. Unless Jericho loses the tag titles, are there any other heels who could challenge for the WHC title?

Which is kind of the same on Raw actually. Orton is going to be in the title picture for months as he's really the only main event heel. Its too soon to push Swagger up to Raw main-eventer, and they're turning Ted face soon aren't they? Don't know about Cody, he's been getting some good pops lately
