Gamepass and Ntl

Just bought a gamepass today and I'm pretty unimpressed so far, it stops to buffer every few seconds.

I'm on ntl, have all the recommended system stuff etc. and 6mb connection speed on speedtest.com or whatever it is, so I've no idea why it's so crap. I mean I'm just watching total access, so during a game i bet its way worse.

Anyone else use it on ntl or have this problem?

Yeah they are. I'm pretty sure the gamepass itself is the problem, the connection speed is more than enough and everything else works fine, downloads, video sites etc.

Gamepass is working perfect for my house. Maybe run it at a lower resolution to see if it makes it any better

I have only 3Mb from UPC and Gamepass works great. I use the second highest kbps, 1800 I think it is. Roll on sunday night.

Must be an issue with Gamepass for you. Contact them they are helpful.

Yeah, they were pretty helpful, but could do nothing. Everything worked perfectly on my end after they got me to do speed tests and a trace, whatever that is! So they said that sometimes there are isolated incidents where it doesn't work.

    Great.

Got a refund anyway, but I was looking forward to watching games :(

I wonder if its my computer, it has vista, which has been a pain since I got it.

I doubt Vista is the problem, getting the OS right for a provider is fundamental. Having said that I run XP. Putting off getting a new machine cos of Vista. Sorry to hear u cannot get it.

I'm considering getting Gamepass (even though I think this is what NFL wants me to do after Sky losing a big chunk of coverage). Just wondering is your account limited to one computer or can you access it on different computers?

That's a pity. Kudos to their support for admitting a fault on their end and providing you with a refund all the same.

Yeah I was really impressed with their customer support. They emailed back in about 10 minutes despite the live support being really busy. Considering sky and the like leave you on the phone for hours it was fantastic! I've contacted them to ask if I can have a go with another computer (with xp) just in case, hopefully they won't mind me giving it a shot.

To anyone considering getting it, I would actually still recommend it, it looked great as far as all you can watch goes. Just a pity I'm an 'isolated case'!!

Oh and its multiple computers, but only one at a time.

Did you go the whole hog for the season pass or are you taking things in chunks (month / week). Is there any footage available to watch via Game Pass on non-game days?

Yes - NFL Network is available live when there is no game on.
Also all games are available to view in the archive - last season is currently available.
Shows like Total Access are also available on demand in the archive.

With Reduced Coverage from Sky can you now watch all games live or are the sky ones still blanked out?

    Regards
    Ian

Sounds more of an interesting proposition. Have been watching NFL Network via Justin.tv during the week, quality reasonable but if there's archive footage in there as well I'm sold.

Really liking the look of RedZone TV as well.

The games shown live on Sky are blacked out live on Gamepass. Pretty much as soon as they are finished you can watch them archived with no adverts too.
