Hello all. I am heading to Orlando and Miami on Tuesday 15th September for two weeks and i was wondering if anybody out there would be able to give me a bit of advice on where the bests places to do a bit of shopping are. Have a car organised so transport is not an issue.

I wouldn't spend too long in Miami....I'd head down to Key West......it is amazing....total paradise and only 3 hrs drive from Miami. You won't regret it!! And the drive down is gorgeous too..........

Best place for shopping in Orlando is the prime retail outlets (formely Belz). Its right at the top of International Drive (north). Make sure you spend $6 at the guest services for a coupon booklet, well worth it. All top brands there at discount prices. Going over again at end of October cant wait. We hav'nt bought as much as a pair of socks in this country in the last six years.

    Prime Outlets

Dont even bother paying the $6 for the booklet. Register online, print your voucher, bring your passport, get the booklet of vouchers for free and shop shop shop.

Hit the Ralph Lauren store, Ralph Kids and Tommy Hilfiger!! I bought a Nautica watch there for $40 and here in Limerick its €190 :D

I assume you have a car so the directions are in the post above. If you pass Sea World then you are going the right way down I-Drive.

If you do not have a car then hop on the I-Ride Trolley

For stocking up the hotel room with crap head to a Walmart. My favourite Walmart was out East on Sand Lake Road.

Pick up your Disney souvenirs and gifts here for much cheaper than the parks and they ARE DISNEY Branded!

Oh yea, I forgot about that. We do that, but have a place over there and usually end up using the vouchers that our clients have left behind them.

Check out the milennia mall and eat at the chease factory just make sure you eat of the lunch menu as portions are big went a few times.

Also if doing universal parks stay one night at one of their hotels, your room key acts as an unlimeted fastpass. From park opening to park closing on both days. We stayed 7 Nights in the hard rock, all i can say is wow

Also check out the Florida Mall:

and +1 to heading to Wall Mart for the likes of t-shirts, we bought some for $5 compared to $20 in Disney and warner bros.

And if you heading to Seaworld I would highly recommend having lunch with Shamu, I paid $80 for me and the two kids - it sounds expensive just for lunch!.. but you get you photo taken (not with Shamu, but outside) complimentary drink before hand, full buffet lunch (food was gorgeous.. loads to choose from) and as much as you could drink while Shamu strutted his stuff in a pool right beside the dining area - so plenty of photo ops..

You will have a ball, we were only over there in May and we are going again next year!.. Enjoy!
