    I am looking at buying a 2003 W211 (E-CLass).
One of the tail lamps has some condensation in it.
Does anyone know if this is a known issue?

yeh sounds like a cracked lens, you often wont see the crack either.

If you looking at a 2003 a cracked lense could be the least of your worries. Early E-Classes had appalling reliability, Germany's taxi drivers blockaded MB HQ and many shifted to Skodas as a result. 2006 facelift addressed all the issues but models prior need to be examined very carefully.

Thanks Lads - just wanted to make sure it wasn't crashed.
Anyway, bought it and 3 weeks later it's still going :)
