Nct reminder

    Why do the NCT only send a postage reminder for cars imported privately? (ie the first NCT) Can they not send a reminder for cars already with a test certificate, where is the logic in that.
    Also would a car fail the nct if the headlamp wipers were stuck across the headlamps. (the car is a saab 9-3)

    Cos cars already with a test certificate dont need an NCT :rolleyes:

    And yep, impairs your headlights :rolleyes:

    When the nct expires there is no reminder

    no they dont give any reminder any longer, my volvos wiper was stuck over the light too, not todays test but last one, and fair play to your man he said do you want to push that down, as it will fail like that obsecuring the light.

    Maybe not a postal reminder, but I've just got a text reminder 5 minutes ago. That said, it is for my previous car, which is no longer on the road.
