Top Quality Musicians Wanted

    Following on from the hugely successful events band Harlequin, Limelight Entertainment is now seeking musicians for a new outfit to be launched early 2010. Musicians being sought are for:

    Bass
    Lead Guitar
    Keyboards

    A charismatic Lead Vocalist who plays any of the above instruments is also required and backing vocals is also a requirement for every position. The band will perform all styles and musicians must be versatile and committed to learning the required material.

    Band Member Requirements

    Availability to do all requested events
    Professional Musicians
    Ideally full time musicians
    Positive Approach
    Experienced & Grafters
    Reliability and good time keeping
    No mileage limitations
    People interested in contributing.
    Must be willing to do showcase events
    Black Tie & Fully Live Band
    Top quality musicians
    Load in/out as required
    No sound checking in presence of quests

    Band Makeup
    • Band will consist of Drums, Bass, Lead Guitar and Keyboards/Piano
    • 3 of the 4 members must be capable of singing lead vocals
    The band will be predominately an events band doing weddings and corporate events but will also have scope for nightclub events (subject to age profile)

    All members must make themselves available for all events and drop outs for long distance travel will not be allowed from band members. If a band member has prior commitments for a date it is up to them to arrange a suitable replacement of a sufficiently high quality and bring them up to speed regarding songs required for the event.

    Lads, if you think whats mentioned above is a joke then your so wrong. You wanna make a real living out of music thats not original's this is whats involved.

    Its nice to see someone putting up whats envolved in plain black and white. As hard as it reads to some people thats the truth.

    "new and exciting band". give me a break.It would be hard to muster up any excitement for this outfit after they had sucked all the life and joy out of playing. Colonoscopy indeed!:D

    I'd ask how much you were getting paid first. For all that travel and expense of fuel and accommodation not to mention all the extra work you would have to do...you'd want to be looking at around E1000 per gig. Good luck.:D

    Colonoscopy! I like that one yoursaviour!! It can be tough at times alright but its not that difficulty!

    Firstly many thanks to all those who sent me emails over the last day or so. We will be following up with everyone next week and will be holding auditions over the next month or so. We will be giving everyone that is interested an audition to see if it might be something you are keen in and to find the right guys.

    It might sound too much like hard work for some people and that's fine. What we're offering isn't for everyone. We're not offering an opportunity to join the next Lizzy like 90% of the posts on Boards but instead are offering something real and an opportunity to make good money while playing 100 events a year. Judging by the response i have gotten so far there is plenty if such musicians out there looking to make a living from playing music. Keep the emails coming in and we will draw a line under applications towards the end of next week.
