My mother in law had a still born child approx 35 years ago. At that time the baby was just taken away and buried in glasnevin cemetery. At the weekend the sunday indo had and article on how to go about tracing these graves. I never read it and the paper was thrown out and i cant seem to access it online. She has heard about this article and is tryin to put closure on an area of her life that was re-opened recently by my sister in law having a miscarrage.

If anybody could point me in the right direction or if they still have the article at home i'd be very thankful.

I had a look online there and also could not find the article. I am sure though that if you contact the Indo they will be happy to oblige you, especially given the circumstances.

Can I just say that you sound like a wonderful son/daughter in law, and your mum-in-law is lucky to have you.

Public libraries aren't open on Sundays and therefore don't have the sunday papers.

OP, I'd agree with neuro about contacting the paper directly. Best of luck.

I still have the sunday indo here - will have a look and see if I can find the article.....if I can you're welcome to it

I just checked and I cannot find the article.......just nama & lisbon & recession etc. Do you have any idea what section it might have been in or if it was included with something else?

Call Glasnevin, they have a written record of the name of every child buried in the angels graves. I found a friend's baby who died in the 60s for her that way...

    ...and go there...

There is something very sweet and warm about the little corner of Glasnevin where the "little angels" sleep.

    Isands are an excellent organisation,
And Hold an event every year in glasnevin, extremely moving.
My sister was still born and pretty much the same situation as your mother in law.

My mother track down the area my sister was buried, and was nice to put a little grave stone there. Its in the old angels plot.
