Getting apps from other regions?

    I'm trying to download spotify for the iphone:

    http://www.itunes.com/app/spotify

    It says I can't get it in Ireland. Any way around that? Proxy server?

    This has been mentioned in a bazillion threads, the latest one I can remember is in the main Spotify thread by Acab, here:

    You can create an account in any region you want - I have US and UK accounts. Just switch to the UK store, try to download Spotify itself (since it's a free app) and follow the rest of the instructions in that post to set payment method as "none"...

    that worked perfect thanks! the trick is to ensure you create the new account after you have tried to purchase the free app. That way you are able to change your country.

    Took me a few minutes to figure out this too....

    1) Open iTunes and Click on the iTunes Store (on the left)
    2) Hit Logout (if your signed in) top right of the screen.
    3) Go back to the store again if its kicked you out.
    4) Scroll to the bottom of the page and change your region to wherever (UK for Spotify)
    5) Go back to the top of the page and click 'App Store / Applications' on the left.
    6) Try purchase a free app.
    7) When the sign in screen appears hit 'New Account'.
    ... Rest is easy.

    Heres a postcode for Leeds, ya'll need one when signing up LS3 1AB
