Aer Lingus Emergency Landing 09/09

Was spotting at Dublin this morning and noticed Air Lingus had an emergency landing. EI-CVD to LHR (I think) turned back to Dublin and touched down on runway 28 about 8ish this morning. It stayed on the the runway for about 20 minutes-From what I could hear on the scanner it was a hydraulics problem, but they were also checking out the left engine - plenty of fire engines and the likes. All departing and incoming flights used runway 34 (used almost nerver! was quite a treat!)

Here's some photo's, more to follow soon!

Interesting, thanks for the photos xuza.

I was wondering why they were using Runway 34 for arrivals this morning!

I saw a few aircraft fly the approach over Dun Laoghaire including the AA 767 and an EI A330.

    Thanks
    Andrew

I bet that was the same A320 that went Tech in AMS last Friday , caused me a nice 8hr delay as the flight was canx

Anyone know was it the same one ? AMS had pulled the blinds down because of the sun so I didn't catch the regn on that one.

    It was EI-CVD anyway

With over 70 departures per day and 30 A320s I doubt it. Unless your AMS delay was down to hydraulics and a problem with the No.1 (left) engine.

The same aircraft operated the 608 and 609 services to/from Amsterdam last friday, doesnt look like there was a delay though

    Hi,

It was 605 , it was canx not delayed, so if cvd operated 608/9 it wasn't that one.......

I ended up on the 611.

The comment was tongue in cheek TBH , it was an ' engine fault ' ... no idea futher than that

AA92 usually flies in over Sandyford/Leopardstown/Dun Laoghaire.
