    BBC HD
ITV HD (if you could call it a channel)
    Luxe TV

That is what's FTA on Astra 2

How do you get the lukes one

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 594 ✭✭✭eden_my_ass

That entirely depends on your system. I have a Humax Freesat box so I have to switch to non freesat mode to see all FTA channels, and then i can find Luxe Tv in the list. Its not in the Freesat EPG (channel menu)

    Simple answer: No

Picture quality aint bad at all, but it's only a "lux"ury shopping channel in essence.

Hotel lobby television is how I would best describe it. Thankfully the SD version is FTA too so nobody has to miss out.

    Luxe is not bad.
saw a very interesting program on Faberge Eggs
well maybe it wasn't that interesting but they looked nice in HD.

ITV HD has the England match tonight.

and there was Bet HD for about 24 hours. maybe they will be back ?

Just posting to confirm what I 've read in the tuning guide sticky. That is, that I will be able to receive the BBC & ITV HD channels (subject to the make of box) when My HD box is installed. By the way, I thought there was supposed to be a long waiting time for installation ( did I hear 2 months somewhere?). I ordered it earlier this evening, and it's scheduled to be installed next week!

    thats correct,

you will be able to add itvhd if you have the new epg.

although they only have a few programs at the present time.

Thanks John. I understand Thomson are the best box as regards the new EPG, followed by Pace and Samsung and Amstrad the worst. Anyone on here got any idea how difficult these Thomson boxes are to get hold of through the installer.
