Hey I am doing the Kenmare tri this weekend. Just wondering where might be the best spot on the cycle for spectators to place themselves - thinking at the top of iether Healy or Caha pass ?
    Thx

    Hi.

Quickest for spectators to get to from Kenmare would be the Caha Pass Tunnels (21km).

If spectators were going to the Healy Pass climb, the road is narrower here, s may not be advisable given the amount of folks doing it.

BTW, my w/e cyce takes in some of this route.
In order to avoid getting in the way of the tri folks, what time do you reckon that most of the cyclists would have finished n the Healy Pass?

Thanks I think I have seen some youtube footage of those tunnels alright

Not sure, race starts at 8.30, so swimmers coming out of the water from around 9 if everything goes to schedule. I dont know the route that well so cant really advise on times to complete the Healy Pass.

+1 on the Caha Pass tunnels - should be able to get some good photographs there too if you place yourself right.

Although in the right place on the Healy Pass hairpin descent could be good too for watching/photographing.
