Hey guys, Just wondering if any of you have any experience with Dells latest management system DMC or Dell management console. Do you know if it pulls VM's as well as physical servers when you do an inventory. Also how compatible is it with Linux? Any disadvantages? Thanks heaps!

The Dell version is a pretty much a rip from HP SIM.
Install HP SIM, download the MIBS from the dell website for SIM
Create a new discovery task for your systems.

Doing a VM inventory is a pain no matter what system management software you are using.

If you are running a VM & ESX large farm, I would suggest looking at the products from veeam instead, or else live with virtual center.
