ill be servicing my leon mk1 tomorrow and have got the lend of a heavy duty trolley jack but was wondering were is the best place to jack up i also have axle stands, but im thinking that maybe the jacking point is hidden under neath the engine cover/skirt, from previously being jacked i can see the sills are bent so the trolley jack would destroy them

Use the metal plate the towing eye is mounted on, front and back. Before you get under it have the axles stands supporting the car at the jacking points.

If you look closely there is actually little arrows on the underneath of the sills to show where to put the jack!
