    Hi,

So, I'm on Vodafone and lets say I ring a guy on an 087 no and think it's free as its Vodafone to Vodafone but I hear the "bleeps" so he's on another network.

But what network does it mean he's on if you get one bleep or 2 bleeps or even 3?

    Anyone know? Just curious.

    Thanks

    NIF

I didn't know there was more than 1 just means there on another network

I thought beeps just ment a different network. I didn't think they specified the network either.

There seems to be a system with the beeps.

Voda > an O2 087 is one beep

Voda > a 3Mobile 087 is one beep followed by rrrrrrrriiiiing (like the lengthy 'overseas' ring), then normal 'ring ring'.

Landline > 3Mobile 087 is the long ring, followed by ring ring.
