Dave Fanning narrates a look at the history of the country's advertising agencies, which emerged in the 1970s, and imported many tricks of the trade from the counterparts operating on New York's Madison Avenue. Former agents recall their creative lifestyles, and relate how they conceived iconic ads for established brands including Guinness and Aer Lingus
    Category Documentary

Could be good, pity about Fanning though.

Looking forward to this, if for nothing but the nostalgia of seeing some of the great old ads.

Fanning wasnt too bad, didnt have to look at him at least. The show itself was ok, nothing on it you wont see on Youtube!

They didn't show enough old ads :(

Ah you could fry an egg on the stones here.........if you had an egg! Classic stuff.

I enjoyed it, goes to show how little else we had going on in Ireland if the bird from the Guinness ad and the bloke from the Harp ad both made it on to the late late.

They dident show enough ads,but it was good to see some old ads i'd forgotten about like the "busker" animated ad,and the kimberly mikado puppets. They were a bit creepy i have to admit.

i found this really hard to watch. they only showed secs of ads and when they did it was on 'billboards' in the distance. constantly chopping and jumping sequences except when they had a contributor on, then they got full shot. we wanted to see the ads not the contributors.

Yawnfest - programs about advertising leave me colder than the advertising itself. I watched 10 minutes and had to turn it over.

I have to say though, the ads then were a mile ahead in terms of there creativity. Today it's all just uber polished infomative and patronizing ads, all the major companies have adopted this approach, so mundane and droney... rarely do we get people talking about funny of ingenious ads anymore.

This was one of the greatest ads I can remember being talked about...I laughed and laughed!

I thought it was poor, not enough of the ads shown and when they were it was talked over and couldnt be appreciated, real disappointment from what could have been.

I agree, in the end credits they only showed snippets of ads like the classic ESB and the Maverick ads.
Too many interviews and not enough ads.
Most of them can be viewed on youtube without the annoying commentary though!
