Anyone know what Aer Lingus are like for the boarding card having a slightly different name to passport.

That is if the passport says Patrick and the Boarding Card says Paddy?

Well technically he could be denied boarding as that isn't the name on his passport, it's at the discretion of staff on the day.

Call Aer Lingus on 0818 365000 and ask. They will more than likely amend it for you without any problems but worse case scenario they might insist on you paying a name change fee. Although the latter would be annoying, it's a hell of a lot better than being denied boarding on the day.
