Just been listening to a lot of techy/proggy stuff lately and realised that a lot of the tracks have some pretty f~ck*n sweet outros that are a perfect end to a track and make you think about putting on repeat just so you can hear it back and say, "was it actually THAT good?" "Yes, YES IT WAS!" Heh heh

If anyone follows what I'm on about link to your favourites.

    1. Polymetric ending to "Letter experiment" by Periphery

    2. The classic ending to "New Millenium Cyanide Christ" by Meshuggah

    3. Fair play to Tool for havin the balls to do a Zep cover. I think they got it right and their own flair they added to the end is a bit of class. Of course people will disagree but I dig it.

    4. "Under My Sky" by Hero in Error - cos they're Irish, their drummer is the madres cojones and the outro here is just so tight!

    What are yours?

    My favourite ever outro:

I know most people would probably go with the Deliverance outro if they were picking one by Opeth, but for me it's got to be Karma:

Pearl Jam have so many fantastic outros I could link to about a dozen; Grievance, Present Tense, Inside Job, Rearviewmirror, etc...
But this has to be my favourite:

The Pumpkins could also do a good one back in the day:

The second half of the tune where it goes all melodic and Brent Hinds from Mastodon makes an appearance :D

I suppose this falls under DnB/Rock? The outro to The Tempest by Pendulum is absolutely epic...

I love the outro to Panteras 'Five minutes alone'.

Dimes riff and Phils layer vocals are sweet as

I think we can call thread over after this outro. Arch Enemys bridge of destiny, the most EPIC outro of all time!!

Start at 5.20 and watch through...

Can't link to any videos on youtube atm but I always thought the last two riffs in the song Uroboric Forms by Cynic were absolutely amazing !

The ending to the Testament song As the Seasons Grey is class too.

Perrienial Quest by Death is a sad but brillaint ending to Symbolic.

Ageless Still I Am from the Morbid Angel album Gateways to Annhilation has a great ending solo. Same can be said for Nothing but Fear on the Album Domination.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Between the buried and me - White Walls.

An amazing outro to wrap up an amazing album

    Motorhead - Overkill 3 outro's in one :)

Between the Buried and Me - Mordecai, Not as good as their song Selkies but i just listened to this and it reminded me how awesome it is. :pac:

The Haunted - Abysmal, brilliant groove/thrash metal with a great more melodic outro

Amorphis - Black River, ending to a great album so the whole song has sort of an outro feel but i quite like the solo and the end bit.

would agree with some posts, but one of my faves is the last part of deliverance by opeth. cleverest use of one chord (E) ever!

    from 3:08 onwards
