The same thng was happening to a friend of mine...i think it was because he hadn't an irish birth cert...he was born in australia but has lived here all his life so he has an irish passport. He went to the registration office and they just told him to say he had an irish birth cert!!:eek:
Were you born out of the country or anything that might be causing the problem? If you were you should probably get in touch witht he registration office before filling in inaccurate details...
    ;);)

I had a problem like this last year, just call the fees office, they'll fix it for you.

Same exact thing happened to me, said 'No' to Irish birth cert cause I was born in New York, but 'Yes' to having Irish passport, cause I do, living here 11 years now...and well, that just seemed to confuse the hell outta the system!
So, said 'fcuk it' and lied about birth cert, tiny white lie, reckoned they wouldn't care much anyway!

A similar white lie cost this man his life.

(he said he was born in Galway - UK when applying for a passport rather than New York and so was tried for treason after WW2 as British not American)
