I have a problem with a Samsung WS-28M064N TV. Over the past week the picture has been bigger than the screen - If the screen is 100% the picture is about 120%.
I have checked all connections - I've went through all possible remote options and nothing has happened.
I've had the TV for over four years and never had this problem. All other TV's in the house are fine.
    Any ideas? thanks

Size is at Auto Wide - I have tried changing it to 4:3, 16:9, Panorama etc... but no luck.

Is it just an aerial directly fed into the Tv or do you have some kind of STB....i.e sky or chorus digital box?? If so it may be the settings on those that you need to change...

The feed comes into a STB, then to the video machine then to the TV. I'll check the STB as well - however they are both on standby.

Then you may have to change the screen size of the box u have...if its a chorus box you will have to do this everytime if you unplug them at nite as they dont remember the settings.

just checked all connected box's. All showing normal. I even pulled the power leads out for all devices and plugged one in at a time. Same result.

I have a new SONY flat screen and Chorus analogue I have the same problem the picture is too big. When the credits roll you cannot see the right or left side. Have tried all screen sizeses. The man from the Sony shop came and looked at it and agreed something was wrong and would arrange a new one.
He then phoned me and said his engineers said this is Chorus's fault. Contacted Chorus and they say it has nothing to do with them. What now? if Sony can't sell a tv that suits the local system then it is going back.

Have you tried connecting the STB directly to the TV? Have you tried just having nothing but the STB connected to the TV?

What sort of connection is there between the TV & STB?
    - HDMI?
    - SCART?
    - Component?
    - Composite?
    - Other?

i was sitting down after writing the above question thinking to myself are you really that stupid that you dont know how to change the settings on a sky box so i got the sky controls and went into settings the ratio was set to 4:3 after changing it to 16:9 all my problems went away so again sorry for asking such stupid questions
