    Hey,

I am going to North Yorkshire in November for a training course in a place called Northallerton. Can someone advise me on the best route to get there?
I will be departing from Dublin...I am thinking of flying to manchester but is there a closer by airport I can land in to less the burden on my journey?

    Thanks

Newcastle would be handier. I thought Ryanair flew to Durham from Dublin, but they don't. Otherwise that would have been so convenient...

Leeds would be a disaster because you'd have to get to Leeds before getting onward to Northallerton!

newcastle is handy actually, gonna rent a small car and drive into northallerton, nice relatively straight one hour motorway drive covering about 100 miles.

    thanks!

That must be a recent change for Ryanair, I'm sure they used to fly there.

i believe you can fly into blackpool airport from dublin, you will be less than 30 miles from the yorkshire dales,40 miles from the lake district ,and 10 miles from the forest of bowland,i live 8 miles north of blackpool.the nearest airport to northallerton is durham tees valley, that covers both middlesbrough and darlington about 20 miles away from northhallerton

Ryanair and aerlingus dont flt to blackpool airport so i guess it will have to be newcastle, oh well not too much extra trouble spending an hour or so on transport getting to northallerton

checking the web you will find that the nearest airport that has ryanair flights from dublin is newcastle international, then it would take you by metro then walking to the railway station then getting off the train at northallerton just 1hr and 19 min. unless you have a car northallerton is not easy to get to. the best UK web site to find your way is called,,transport.direct-info.
