I ordered this 2 weeks ago and put it up as a bargain alert on the building & upgrading forums.
since then i've learned about different mpeg2/4 such and such. Supposing that at the price it wouldn't be mpeg4, i went back to edit my bargain alert post.

Next thing i read in the customer reviews that "yes, this is mpeg 4"
People have got it working with vlc player too.

What a bargain for not even €15

Reading down through the comments on DealExtreme you will find that the supplied software (Blaze) supports MPEG2, not MPEG4.

You'll have to go after an MPEG4 codec like CoreAVC I think.
I had a generic USB tuner a couple of years ago, during the initial DTT MPEG2 trial and it used the Blaze player. It's a bit quirky to use, but you could always have a hunt around for another player assuming the USB stick uses BDA. Most of them use this interface.

yeah, it uses BDA, I use it with vlc or Alt-DVB
much better to buy this than a similar branded device 3-4 times the price
