    hi all,

I want to insulate my wood cabin walls externally.
Currently I have single skinned 45mm pine walls.
I have bought 80mm foil backed ployiso insualtion boards and pine shiplap to finish.

my intention was from internal to external of walls

45mm wall/ 80mm insulation boards/ 20mm gap with some 2x1 holding insulation against 45mm wall then the pine shiplap.

    would this work ?

Just to help me get some advice on this post I would like to add this cabin does not contain sleeping accomadation so building regs do not necessarily apply.

I am starting the work this weekend and I was wondering if any kind of membrane should also be used and if any other tips they would be much appreciated.

    thanks
