dole seeking prsi and dentist?

i applied to get the dole about 4 or 5 weeks ago,i was working away for 3 months but came home for personal reasons, i d been in full time employment before that for over 12 years,the guy i filled out the forms with said i should get the dole,how does it work with dentist fees, i ve spent 450euro so far and i still need maybe two more visits,i ve got receipts, it i get the dole will i be entitled to some money back for the dentist fees , and how and when do i get the money back?
i know its alot of questions ,but any help or advice would be great thanks

Hi abceire

If you don't have a medical card, treatment benefit is the main payment for dental work. As I understand it this generally has to be applied for in advance and the dental work has to be done by a dentist who is on the approved panel. It works slightly differently if you have the work done in another EU country.

You can also get tax relief on some dental treatments.
