Intro day

Just wondering how long the intro day is usually for 1st years?

I'm in at 10am on Wednesday morning but it didn't say anything about what time we will be getting off at.

My intro day was only about 3 hours long, but that was 3 or 4 years ago!

Mine (and Bryns) was a load of lecturers talking about the course and then you are split into groups and we done some group excercises etc. You'll probably get a folder of rubbish about your course too.

Yeah about 3 hours. I remember somebody kept asking questions so that kept us a bit longer than I would have liked.

Think it depends on your course, too.
They only kept us (AV people) for an hour.

We usually don't do anything for the first week. They make the same "The facilities aren't available yet" excuse every year!

Yup you should get a bag full of goodies - chocolate, notebook, pens, condoms, shampoo etc.

Some of the freebies were deadly! I love when people come to the college and give out free stuff! Those chocolate milkshake things were awful, but I still managed to drink a few - "because they were free..."
