Change of business name?

Hi Folks,

Does anybody know the process for changing the business name of a company with cro?

I recently registered as X (received cert) but now need to change to Y.

I came across a faq on core,and it mentions that to change the business name,I need to submit a Special resolution Form G1Q for €50 (as opposed to €100 on paper) however cro mentions a form Form RBN2 - (for an individual) can be used to change a business name for €15 euros.Its just abit confusing.

one is to change a company name the other is to change a business name, clearly states which is which.

You're getting confused between a business and a company.

To change a company name (applies to Ltd companies):
File Special Resolution via G1Q form;
along with amended memorandum & articles; and
filing fee

To change a sole trader business name:
File an RBN2 form

To change a trading name of a company: i.e. ABC Limited T/A XYZ (where XYZ is the trading name)
File an RBN2B form
