Good to see your still going strong gabgab, did you manage to improve your running?
It sounds like a great idea but is crossfit suitable for runners, I picture bulky lads and gals lifting huge weights, am I wrong?

    Cheers Woddle,

Yes I got a good bit quicker and stronger. Alot of what we do does involve but to be fair the chap that won the last one was about 75kg or so and 6'2.

I would suggest coming down and having a go at a class and saying hi, how does that sound?

Sounds good but I'm in Berlin that weekend, Best of luck with it, I know there's a few here who do combine weights with their running, so you never know.

Sorry Woddle I meant to come down anytime, see what its like and if it would suit your training needs,

    Are you racing in Berlin?

Cheers for that and no I won't be racing, it'll be more a case of plodding around :D If I get close to my pb I'll be happy.

Best of luck in Berlin Woddle.

With regard to crossfit, I think you should have a look at it and then potentially combining it with this site. I am not a crossfit die hard or anything but usually aim for 2 sessions at home a week. A lot of my runs and cycle are based off the CFE site. Just because it works for me doesn't mean it will work for others but you never know. Also, there are some good interesting threads in the blog.

gabgab, please let me know if you decide to expand to Galway. Good luck with the event. I'd love to go but am caught up that weekend.

    Thanks a million Pgibbo,

The CFE stuff is good, heavy going and fast paced but well worth doing

I'm always saying I'll come up to yee sometime, you're not actually that far from me. I could run, do the crossfit workout then crawl home.

    Hey Racoon Queen,

Be great to see you and we can show you what we do and see if it would fit into how you train

Do you have anyone that attends your box that does CF + CFE for endurance events like triathlon, cycling, marathon, etc? If so, what have their results been like?
